-
Proof of High School graduation or GED

Students will be notified when their application, etcetera, has arrived at the MCDTC, and will receive official acceptance after their medical exam is granted clearance by our Hyperbaric doctor. If two weeks have passed without notification please contact MCDTC to ask about the status of your application.
Medical Exam:
In order to attend and be trained for certain commercial diver certifications all applicants must be approved by a Hyperbaric doctor. Students don't have to see a Hyperbaric doctor, but they must have all medical exams and forms (provided below for printing) completed by a physician. Submitted results of such will then be given to MCDTC's Hyperbaric doctor for final approval. This is a very important step in the application process that takes the most amount of time, so please don't wait to get this done.
Tuition:
Tuition is $14,500.00 with a $1000.00 deposit. The deposit must be paid at the time of applying, and the full amount is due no later than the first day of class. The MCDTC holds the right to give an applicant's spot to another applicant if the first applicant applies without paying their deposit. *Please note this tuition amount is INCREASING in 2015!!!*
College Credits:
The Central Lakes College in Brainerd Minnesota has accepted our Commercial Diver Training Program and will award a full 18 college semester credits to anyone who registers for this course through their school. All of the training will be done at the Minnesota Commercial Diver Training Center, but the students will be graded on everything and college credits will be awarded to them. For those who need or want college credits this is a good program, but getting college credits will increase the tuition and the student will have to pay extra to get those credits.
Minnesota Commercial Diver Training Center is licensed as a private career school with the Minnesota Office of Higher Education pursuant to Minnesota Statuses, sections 141.21 to 141.32. Licensure is not an endorsement of the institution. Credits earned at the institution may not transfer to all other institutions.
Previous Credit:
The nature of our classes is very fast paced and is based upon a required number of course hours establisher by the Association of Diving Contractors and the Diver Certification Board of Canada. It is not possible for us to allow for any previous classes taken at other diving schools. We need to know that our students are qualified in all aspects of diving and find it difficult to verify the student's quality of retention of the instruction from other schools.
